caught MY attention

Saw “Bachna Ae Haseeno” and loved it. Not because it had an amazing storyline, or it was very informative and educative, or because people got to take some facts back home to impress their friends by uttering it during catch-up conversations, or for its power and technicality and blah blah. Nope if I needed any of this I would watch a documentary feature on Discovery channel at my home. I like Bollywood as it is the biggest entertainment industry and I just loved the film for the entertainment it provided. With expressions like happy, sad, sigh, frown, anger, wicked, naughty etc within and the desire to grove and shake a leg to peppy songs, it was a good 2.5 hrs of desi fun at the theatre.

Though it was a simple n sweet n lite romantic comedy, the movie stirred some random thoughts inside. Funda being that raj had to get his own heart broken to understand the pain he caused to others. Yap got that but what caught my attention is a thought: how many guys actually have the guts to tell a girl whom they don’t love in return that things wont work out just and just because he is not in love with her. No stupid reasons, no dumb logic, no running away, no cranky behaviour just the plain truth that he does not feel the forever love.

Ya ya I can hear the guys say that such truth will disturb the highly emotional equation that girls carry around. Well fyi, that’s a lame thing of the past so gather the truth and come clean!!

chasing the Wrong dream

In everyone’s life comes a time when they realise that they were chasing the wrong dream. If not chasing the completely wrong dream, surely were ignoring the real dream to pursue something that is of momentary importance but would not mean anything in the long run.

Sometimes the choice is very difficult to make. How can one decide if they should do something so that in years from now you feel happy of should we do something now so that we can feel better at this point. Guess that also depends on the situation and the kind of happiness.

I love to write stuff. Things that I see around, things that I feel, things created by imagination, things that can never happen, things I have just heard about. I call it the creative liberty to write about things that I have no clue about. It’s just my perspective of how that thing could have been, if people don’t like it. I don’t give a damn. 2 words for them too :)

Thanks to an instigative (if I may say so) poem on the blog of an amazingly beautiful writer and a good friend, I got the required dose of inspiration to get back to blogging after 5 months of pathetic work torture. I just had to say the other side of the story as well :) Thanks Sri!

the 2 words

These jobs aren’t for a “Man”

An unexpected friend at a romantic dinner gets spoilt with
Why don’t you “Join” us
A lovely evening drive gets annoying with
I’ll answer this phone “Call”

A shopping request gets turned down with
No time I am very “Busy”
An hour outside talking crap gets logical with
We were just “Catching” up

A query on a pending task gets answered with
Oops I just “Forgot”
A word called responsibility gets heavy with
I enjoy my “Freedom”

A relationship crisis gets sidelined with
Not during the “Sports” update
A list of compromises gets crossed with
I don’t like to “Change”

At 30 the future remains unplanned with
It’s too “Early” for me

Thankfully, all it takes is 2 words “F___ ___” to put an end to the misery.
